Strengths.
After our pitch we felt we had a lot of strengths in our ideas. Our main strength was the fact that we had opted to do a montage. Both our teachers felt that a montage would be the best opening for a rom com. We chose to do a rom-com because our research shows that many rom-coms have this convention in opening sequence e.g Love Actually, The Devil Wears Prada, Just Married.
Weaknesses.
As a group, we felt our main weaknesses was that the two characters were practically the same. Mr Lawes then gave us some constructive criticism to maybe change the characters to different personalities for example a primary school teacher and an journalist.
Threats.
The threats for this opening sequence could be that the conversation has to be interesting otherwise it'll be boring. Also, it has to be upbeat and believable rather than staged.
Opportunities.
Our opportunities for this opening sequence are the fact we could make a very good opening montage and it could be specific to the genre of rom com.
