"I like the twist of being set in England and i like the idea of it being in a small town - i've never seen that before. I think you should think about your first two minutes from different camera shots and also bout hat conventions you will stick too rather than what ones you will break"
After getting this advice i went back to my blog and wrote up the 5 things i will stick to that are the same as a typical gangster film.. as shown below. (Highlighted in red.)
Connor Still's Assessment.
"You have a good storyline and the conventions relate to the overall story & genre. However, you need to say how fast the opening section would be, for example how fast the shots jump from one thing to the next."
After receiving this feedback i went back to my blogpost and added in what Connor said i should. As shown below.. highlighted in red again.
Chris Adegoke's Assessment.
"The good thing about the opening scene is that it follows the conventions very lightly so it just drops hints thanks to the suits and the title but i think the shots should have more relevance to the gangsters specifically although i'm saying that the location is more interesting because it reinforces the sort of vigilante aspect that gangsters have by taking the law into their own hands"
After taking this research into account i took a look at my opening sequence and changed the location to a police garage rather than just a garage.. shown below highlighted in red.
