the synopsis for my gangster film is about a group called 'The Miners'. They operate from an old police Garage in a police station.. the last place the police will look. They have links with all walks of life.. bankers, medical, retail, politics, law enforcement, fast food etc.. So they have a lot of influences. They work free lance and are hired by companies for sabotage opportunities on rivals.. for of course a large fee. However, they soon discover a traitor in their group and they need to find him before he rats out on all of them.
Opening Scene.
In my opening scene, i have various shots of people talking about 'The Miners' in everyday life. For example, two mums gossiping over tea, two old ladies talking over their shopping trolleys, two men on the train and then the last shot like this will be of two police men in the locker room after a days work trying to track down the Miners. I'll then follow one of the police officers in a tracking shot as he closes his locker, picks up his bag, walks out of the locker room, through the police station giving a thumbs up to his boss, winking to a girl, throwing the remnants of his coffee and cup in the bin, walking out of the door and stepping into his car. The shot ends with his car driving out of the frame and we are left with a long shot of the old garage which is derelict and boarded up. Silence for two seconds and then two men step out of the door, adjust their suits and then walk off in opposite directions. then the shot cuts to back with two words in white; The Miners.
